About Us

Profile of John and Marty Smith

John and Marty are both ordained ministers who travel as non-resident missionaries to various countries. The main focus of their ministry centres on Eastern Europe and Africa where they work alongside national church planters to help them plant and develop new churches.

Their calling to Africa goes back several years, and each year they spend a significant period of time there in ministry. Last year they visited Kadawa in Western Kenya where Dove Christian Fellowship International is starting a church-planting project. Ultimately it is planned to establish many churches in the region.

Moved with compassion for the plight of those they visited, they have a desire to help these destitute people by providing for their greatest need - good quality drinking water. This will be accomplished by engineering a deep well in the locale of the church-planting project. They see the well as a bridge of love to this community that will ultimately help lay a foundation for the furtherance of the gospel.

A Bridge of Love

Our hearts were touched by the situation and challenged as we read the following: "If anyone has material possessions and see his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him?" 1 John 3:17

We want to cross a "bridge of love" into the lives of these desperately needy people. We believe God wants us to be instruments of further blessing by raising funds to sink a well in Kadawa. This will not only meet an urgent need for the people, but will also provide a foundation for the furtherance of the gospel in this area through that bridge of love. Will you help us to help them?
